Caught Up in a Cycle of Weight Loss and Fitness Uncertainty?

As a member of a popular gym for several years, I noticed many others frustrated with their fat burning exercise programs and eating practices, exercising so hard and long but with nearly no results to show for it.

Several of my own relatives and acquaintances would talk about this new program or product they had just shelled out cash for that was supposed to be the solution to their fat loss or fitness goals. They were so excited about it and couldn't wait to get started.

Then, several weeks later, the same happy-go-lucky folks who were once so excited about their new strategy to burn fat and get a slimmer body became downright discouraged. It was hard to watch.

I'd ask them how their fat burning strategy was functioning and they'd reveal to me that it appeared fairly good at first, but they didn't get the improvement they were expecting. They quickly became weary of following the daily workouts and found following the rigorous eating guidelines almost maddening at times. So they switched onto the next plan.

Even worse, they became so irritated with following the exercise gurus' routines, that they fell even deeper into unhealthful eating routines once they ceased following the program. Stuffing became their only form of pleasure. Talk about moving in the wrong way away from maximum fat burning.

What's worse is that these folks were following the usually recommended exercise and fad diets that were all the rage. They were doing what everyone else was trying to try to lose fat rapidly.

After speaking with a lot of these friends and inquiring about their exercise programs, I noticed one common theme that kept arising in our conversations: They were focused on the short term; their approach was wrong. They weren't thinking of lifelong fitness and health, but they were instead talking about losing fat and getting in shape for "swimsuit season" or for a wedding.

More specifically, they were also performing their exercises in an ineffective manner. Then I also observed this with many others at the fitness center I worked out in. They just appeared to be missing the passion or power in their calorie burning workouts which I knew could turn their routines from nothing to worthwhile literally overnight.

But you know, you can almost not fault them, and you absolutely shouldn't fault yourself if you've fallen into the cycle of fad fitness and diet routines. We all aspire to attain what we know in our hearts we're capable of so badly, and that's why we're such easy victims of this "get fit quick" mentality.

Most people are approaching fitness and health in the exact opposite way that they should; they're not going to burn fat because of it. If you continue to think of using nutrition and exercise as ways to drop a couple of pounds, or get in shape for summer or a wedding, you're going to be dissatisfied with your outcome.

If you think of exercise, nutrition, and rest as unconnected things, you're going to be frustrated with your fat burning and fitness results. If you think you must spend hours a week in the gym or stay with some strange unnatural eating strategy, you're going to be disappointed with your results.

What all of these old approaches will do, is deposit you into the fitness and fat burning cycle of confusion that so many are trapped in nowadays. If instead, you opt to discard what you thought you knew, and start off with the proper strategy, the approach that focuses on making changes in your way of life permanently, you'll immediately improve your results dramatically.

When your approach includes combining appropriate work outs that take very little of your time, nutrition the way nature intended you to eat that is easy to understand and stick to, and the rest and healing that is most important to lifelong vigor and energy, you'll experience an awakening of both mind and body. And you'll burn more fat, as well.

If you follow the course followed most often by those seeking to improve themselves, you'll most likely finish up like most of them. Aggravated, befuddled, dejected, burnt out, injured, sick, or worse. Did I mention very unhappy just like them with their fat burning results as well?

Instead, you can decide to welcome a way of life that includes brief, progressive, and intense resistance training, eating a diet filled with nutrient rich foods, drinking lots of water, and getting plenty of quality relaxation and sleep. But know that when you do so, you'll be joining the select few who comprehend that one of the true secrets to life long fat burning and fitness is not found on a fad diet or in a bottle on the shelf of your local vitamin and health food store.
