Blume's site is talking about replacing gasoline with alcohol. Convert back part of your office building or your garage (less space required than a car) to build a still.
IRS tax credits, maybe also Calif. credits.
Cost about $1500 if you can weld yourself, to build one to put out 100 gallons a day. Sells for a little less than gasoline. And a lot less than gasoline a few months ago, and in the future.
Most cars can be converted or re-tuned to run on it. Alcohol damage to newer cars is an oil company promoted myth. (Brazil imports negligible oil).
Blume recommends to set up a sales area in back of your building or form a coop in a corner of an abandoned strip mall.
You will have to find a source of material to distill, which could be a problem out there in the desert, though. Sugar beets, cane, corn, KELP... Or a small patch of land irrigated to grow cattails would be all you need. I don't recall the area mentioned (maybe a 50' x 1000' plot ??)

SAFER and cleaner than gasoline. Fords back in early 1900s would run on either gas or alcohol, but oil companies got alcohol off the market (prohibition was not about drinking)

And, alcohol lends itself to local production and strengthening local communities instead of big corporations, big banks, and big government.

Almost any car from 1980s on can go 50% right now with no modifications.
Caution -- this will clean your engine, ;) , so the gunk removed from internal parts will end up in oil, so you will need to change your oil after your engine has been cleaned out.
Another caution, :) , on full alcohol, some engine computers will turn on engine warning lights, since emissions are so low, that the computer thinks a smog sensor has failed.

Oil Wars in the Mid-East (Iran, Iraq) - the Reason is Out-of-Control Population Growth

Why the Wars for Oil in the Mid-East cesspools of Iraq and Iran (coming soon)? The reason is out-of-control overpopulation growth.

If people worldwide had not -- and were still not -- breeding like effing cats, rats and dogs with no thought of consequence, there would not have been a "need" to go to those cesspool Arab lands filled with humans even stupider than those in the U.S., Europe, Asia, India, and South- and Central-America, in search of oil.

If not for a population far in excess of sustainable carrying capacity, the effing Arab wogs would have remained impoverished, backwater, irrelevant, if it were not for their oil. So, all the breeders have caused a hornet's nest, empowered by oil money, to be loosed upon the world.

And "our" governments don't mind -- Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Gore -- THEIR asses are safe, and they have a great "excuse" to increase control over the sheeple, and me as collateral damage.

Eff'em all -- the power-sucking governments -- politicians and bureaucrats. Eff'em all -- the slave religions and their sheep -- the Christians, Jews, Muslims.

Are Gold and Silver Prices Suppressed?

While I am a Precious Metals fan, I don't think the prices are being suppressed.

Gold: IT IS NO LONGER MONEY. Undeniable. Since that is the case, I am surprised that it has MAINTAINED its price relative to the "DOLLAR" and even increased somewhat, since the only other uses are minor industrial, which silver can often substitute for, and for jewelry. I attribute any price support/increase to us goldbugs, not to anything else.

Gold is superfluous to most people with any "money". Maybe some day in the future, gold will be again be money. But first, ONLY after the world economy and the present fiat money systems collapse totally. Then, there will be more attempts at fiat systems. Finally, gold will HAVE to be adopted again as money. But I, and possibly you, will be dead of old age by then.

SILVER: I have heard of the coming silver price explosion for decades. The demand/supply imbalances. Blah, blah, blah. Obviously, there is enough supply available at PRESENT (low) prices. If there wasn't, the price would be higher. QED. Now, you can say that by analyzing supply and demand that on the x day of the y month of year z, that the supply at the present low prices will run out and so that the price will have to increase dramatically. And that it should increase NOW in anticipation. But this is now, and then is then. Plus, obviously, the people with big "money" disagree.

Capitalism or "free enterprise" does not mean that people have much foresight. If you think silver, for example, should now be $100 (whatever), because of a potential future shortfall, you likely think oil should be $150 (whatever) a barrel.

That oil is not $150 is for the same reason silver is not $100. The prices will not increase dramatically until, if and when, we (collectively) get kicked in the face.

Public Education -- Subsidizing the Spawn of the Irresponsible

Education is NOT the responsibility of a state, a local schoolboard, or a Hillary's village.
It is the PARENTS' responsibility.

It's not up to us who have elected to not contribute to the population explosion to subsidize the spawn of biological clock ticking bimbos and macho men.

Subsidizing dropping of litters of rugrats leads to more overpopulation, more resource depletion, more pollution, more crime, and -- more wars over resources, whether on a world level over oil, or on a local level over parking, housing, beach access, etc.

DON'T BREED 'EM IF YOU CAN'T FEED 'EM -- OR CAN'T EDUCATE THEM -- YOURSELF.
